Sarah Smith

Sarah is an experienced Oil and Gas Attorney, with a prior background in the areas of business law, real estate and probate.

Sarah began focusing her practice on oil and gas in 2011 with the examination of mineral title in Ohio’s Utica and Marcellus Shales, expanding in 2012 to include Texas.  She has issued numerous Title Opinions covering the Eagle Ford, Permian, Niobrara and Bakken shale plays, many of which contain complex ownership affecting mineral and royalty estates and leaseholds held by production.

In addition to title, Sarah has experience drafting curative instruments and providing services for private land and mineral owners in connection with the purchase and sale of mineral interests.  She is also an active teacher and mentor to junior attorneys.

Sarah is a native of Northeast Ohio and a graduate of The Ohio State University.  She currently resides in Fort Worth and enjoys traveling and exploring outdoors with her husband and their son.
