Kuiper Law Firm is proud to announce our newest Partners, Lori Davlin & Laura Schwarz. They are diligent, team players, and always looking for new and impactful ways to best serve our clients.
Davlin’s practice centers on commercial transactions, commercial collection, contract litigation and oil & gas, and extends across a variety of other areas, including employment law, estate planning and probate. Her expertise is backed by a decade of litigation and transactional experience and five years of title practice. She joined Kuiper Law Firm on July 29, 2019 and serves as the firm’s General Counsel. She has done outstanding work managing the firm’s transactional and commercial portfolios. She also serves as General Counsel for The Adam McCauley Family Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to assisting families affected by terminal illness. She is admitted to practice in Texas, Mississippi, Montana, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas. She was born and raised in Houston and attended Tulane University in New Orleans where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy and political science. She later returned to Houston to attend South Texas College of Law where she earned her J.D. in 2013. Lori says she “looks forward to growing the firm’s transactional and commercial collection practice and continuing to serve the firm’s oil and gas clients and cultivating the culture of camaraderie that defines Kuiper Law Firm.”
Schwarz is experienced in oil & gas, and mergers & acquisitions. She has been working at Kuiper Law Firm since Feb 14, 2022 and has accomplished a variety of tasks since then. Schwarz is a Certified Professional Landman with AAPL and is an avid member of OCAPL and The Oklahoma Bar Association. Throughout her nearly 20-year career, she has worked at several oil and gas companies in various roles including in-house landman, director of asset management, and title attorney. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting and Energy Management from the University of Oklahoma. She began her career as an in-house landman in Fort Worth before returning to Oklahoma City to both continue her career and attend Oklahoma City University School of Law, earning her JD in 2012. Schwarz is located in our Oklahoma City office where she resides with her husband Kai and two daughters, Bennett and Clark. “I am excited to lead the OKC office and continue to serve clients in Oklahoma with the best quality representation,” said Schwarz.
