After graduating from Duquesne University School of Law in Pittsburgh, PA, Bill spent several years working in the Pittsburgh area in house with a leading, Texas based natural gas producing company currently valued at approximately $9 billion, as well as a national law firm, focusing his work on land and original and supplemental title examination, drafting drilling and division order title opinions, and preparing and reviewing title curative documents.

Most recently, Bill spent four years with The University of Texas at Austin, supporting the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, which won three Learfield Directors’ Cups signifying the most successful athletics department in the country during that time.  His work focused heavily on drafting, negotiating, and reviewing agreements such as employment agreements for coaches, game and tournament agreements, stadium suite license agreements, facility use agreements, software license agreements, and advising on various issues related to topics such as employment, student privacy laws, The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and Name, Image and Likeness (NIL).

Bill earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Bethany (WV) College, where he was a three-year letterwinner for the Men’s Basketball team that won two conference titles and qualified for the NCAA Tournament two times during his playing years, and his Juris Doctor degree from Duquesne University School of Law.  

Outside of practicing law, Bill has coached basketball for several years at both the high school and college levels.
