Kuiper Law Firm, PLLC, a veteran-owned energy-focused boutique serving clients across Houston, Fort Worth, Denver, Midland, and Oklahoma City, today announced that Laura Schwarz has been named Managing Partner of the firm’s Oklahoma City office.
Schwarz will lead the Oklahoma City office and oversee its continued growth across the SCOOP/STACK and surrounding plays. Her appointment is part of Kuiper’s broader initiative to designate Managing Partners in each office, reinforcing the firm’s commitment to basin-specific leadership and consistent client service across its platform.

Schwarz brings nearly two decades of oil and gas experience to her role, including work as an in-house landman, director of asset management, and title attorney. Throughout her career, she has supported acquisitions and divestitures, conducted extensive due diligence across multiple basins, and advised on complex title and regulatory matters. Her practice focuses on oil and gas, mergers and acquisitions, and asset management, with experience spanning projects across Texas, Oklahoma, Wyoming, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, and beyond.
In addition to her legal practice, Schwarz is a Certified Professional Landman (CPL) and is active in industry organizations including the American Association of Professional Landmen and the Oklahoma City Association of Professional Landmen. She earned her B.B.A. in Accounting and Energy Management from the University of Oklahoma and her J.D. from Oklahoma City University School of Law.
