She began her career as an in-house Landman for a large, Oklahoma City based exploration and production company. She worked in this role for over seven years managing various assets and is an AAPL Certified Petroleum Landman.

Brissa was born and raised in Midland, Texas. She attended Texas Tech University and graduated magna cum laude in May 2015 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Energy Commerce. After graduating from Texas Tech, she relocated to Oklahoma City and began her career as an in-house Landman. During that time, she attended Oklahoma City University School of Law and graduated magna cum laude in May 2020 with a Juris Doctorate.

In her free time, Brissa enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with her husband, Carlos, and their children, Aria and Jace.
