His career prior to joining the Kuiper Law Firm spans the full spectrum of the industry, from drafting complex mineral title opinions to leading acquisition teams for multibillion‑dollar midstream construction projects. He has also managed real estate deliverables for downstream industrial operations and retail development on behalf of major energy companies.

Jim graduated magna cum laude from the University of Houston and earned his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law.

Outside the office, he enjoys skiing, arts and literature, Astros baseball, and—often reluctantly—UT football.
