His family emphasized the importance of education and developing a deeper understanding of the world. His lifelong passion for history, law, and philosophy led him to attend the University of Texas, where he earned bachelor’s degrees in Government and History. He later received his Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law in 2008.

Masoud has more than fifteen years of experience in civil litigation, oil and gas title examination, and serving as general counsel for Texas businesses. To further deepen his understanding of oil and gas and property law, he also worked in real estate and as a land professional.

When his dogs are not demanding his attention, Masoud enjoys cooking and barbecuing for friends and family. When he takes a break from cooking, he enjoys exploring Houston’s vibrant restaurant scene. He also loves traveling and cheering for sports teams with “Houston” or “Longhorns” in their names. In his spare time, he plays the piano and drums – much to the chagrin of those around him – and, when it is not too close to bedtime, can occasionally be found attending live music events.
