She received a B.B.A. in Business Management from Texas A&M University, before going on to earn an LL.M. in International Corporate Law from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a J.D. from the University of Texas. She is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.

She began her career as a field landman, working in plays all across the United States, and brings over 14 years of combined legal and land experience to her practice. She has presented at the Appalachian Land Institute and the Law of Shale Plays Conference and has authored articles for The Energy Law Advisor and Forbes.

She has held leadership roles with organizations including the Petroleum Club of Houston’s Young Professionals Association, the AAPL, WEN Greater Pittsburgh, the MLBC, the Pittsburgh Right-of-Way Group, and the Institute for Energy Law. She is a recipient of the MLBC Best Member Communications Award and was a nominee for the WEN Greater Pittsburgh Woman of the Year Award.

Outside the office, Kelly enjoys spending time with her family, reading, playing the piano, and practicing Pilates.
