He has a strong background in mineral title examination. Lance started his career as a landman in the Barnett Shale, analyzing mineral and leasehold interest in the North Texas area. He also has experience with right of way title review for a pipeline company, as well as working in house for a major oil corporation. Prior to joining Kuiper, Lance worked as a General Attorney for the Small Business Administration (SBA).

Lance received his Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from Texas Tech University where he was a four (4) year letterman on the football team. He holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) from the University of Tulsa College of Law, and is admitted to practice in the state of Texas.
