Jeffrey has nearly two decades of experience in the upstream and midstream energy sectors.

His practice encompasses representing private equity firms and exploration and production companies, both large and small, in a wide range of matters.  Throughout his career, Jeff was instrumental in facilitating $5.1 billion in commercial transactions, including a $1.1 billion corporate merger, a $440 million acquisition of Anadarko Basin properties, and a $240 million divestiture of Permian Basin properties.  In addition to corporate and transactional matters, he has experience in regulatory compliance matters involving the Oklahoma Corporation Commission, the Texas Railroad Commission, and the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources.

Prior to his return to private practice, Jeff served as Vice President of Land and Acting General Counsel at Roan Resources, Inc. where he oversaw the legal, land exploration and development, land administration, and geographical information systems departments.  Jeff held a similar position at American Energy Partners, LP, as its Vice President – Land & Regulatory.  He worked as a Director at McClendon Energy Partners, where he managed one the largest non-operated companies in the United States.  Jeff began his energy career at Chesapeake Energy Corporation, where he spent five years in the upstream sector building and developing unconventional plays in Texas, Louisiana, and New Mexico.

Jeff is an active member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Edmond, Oklahoma where he serves as a key leader of its chartered Boy Scouts of America troop.
