Jonathan Franks

Jonathan Franks, as the Treasurer for the Oil and Gas Law Society, International Law and National Security Society, and a board member of the Veterans Law Student Association, brings a wealth of experience and dedication to the respective teams.

With a background spanning ten years in the oil and gas sector, he has acquired invaluable insights into the upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors.

Prior to enrolling in law school at South Texas College of Law Houston, Jonathan pursued his undergraduate studies at the University of Saint Thomas in Houston, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Political Science with a minor in Philosophy. Before his undergraduate degree, he served four years in the United States Marine Corps, where he was stationed in California and completed two overseas tours.

Outside of law, Jonathan enjoys any outdoor activity with his family and also trains for triathlons. He has raced in the Texas Ironman once and is training for a second.
